It always starts with a spark.
Sometimes it’s a bright idea or a dream. Other times, it’s a moment of fierce determination — a young person seeing a need in their community and believing, with unstoppable conviction, that they can make a difference.

History shows us that every great innovation, every successful business, every movement for change, and every breakthrough began the same way: a single flash of inspiration.
A spark.

At the Excellence in Youth Leadership and Service Foundation, we believe in that spark.
We believe it lives inside every young person who dreams of making their community, their country, or their world just a little bit better.

The story of our Foundation started with a spark, too.

In 2024, a group of civic leaders, youth leadership mentors, and educators — people who had spent years watching young leaders in action — came together with a simple belief:

Youth leadership matters.
Not someday.
Not when they grow up.
Right now.

We saw young people leading service projects, organizing community events, and lifting others up with fresh ideas and renewed energy.
We found small, community-based youth groups providing opportunities for young people to take the lead.
And we realized: they weren’t just the future — they were already the now.

But we also saw something else:
Sparks need fuel.

Too often, talented, passionate youth leaders — and the organizations that nourish them — lack the resources and support to fully ignite their potential.

That’s why the Excellence in Youth Leadership and Service Foundation was kindled:
To invest in those sparks.
To fan them into flames of innovation and service.

Our mission is clear:
To empower youth leaders through scholarships, leadership development, mentorship, and direct support to the programs and organizations that shape them.
We envision a world where every young leader has the opportunity, encouragement, and tools they need to thrive — and to lead.

We do this by:

• Offering scholarships for outstanding youth leaders,
• Providing capacity grants to youth leadership programs,
• Sponsoring service and civic engagement opportunities, and
• Building a network of mentors who believe, like we do, that young people can make an impact when given the chance.

Today, we officially launch this Foundation — and you’re part of our beginning.
